DATA PROTECTION NOTICE - Fellowship of Independent Celebrants Ltd
This notice is for all celebrants and prospective celebrants considering training with Fellowship of Independent Celebrants Ltd (FOIC). It applies to the processing of your personal data by FOIC.
Section I sets out the purposes for which your data will be used by FOIC if you are enquiring about training. Section II sets out the purposes for which your data will be used by FOIC if you are a member of FOIC.

Use of your data during your application for training with FOIC
As a prospective celebrant to be trained, you consent to the processing, retention and sharing of your personal data for the purpose of assessing your membership application.
You can withdraw your consent and request erasure of your data at any time prior to training.

Use of your data after you become a member of FOIC
As a member of FOIC your data will be processed, retained and shared for any reasonable purposes required by FOIC. These purposes include, but are not limited to, the following purposes:

Assessing any subsequent training applications you make; Registering you as a member of FOIC; Receiving communications to which you are entitled as a member; Recording the progress of your career as a FOIC Celebrant.

You may stop your data from being used by FOIC by resigning from the Fellowship.. Please contact the Managing Director by post or email if you wish to: Object to FOIC processing your data; Request access to your data; or Request rectification of your data.
The legal basis on which your personal data will be used in accordance with Section II are:
1. The legitimate interests of FOIC as a celebrant training and membership organisation.

- ▪ We believe not to discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, philosophy of life, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
- ▪ We believe in preserving the 'trade mark' of FOIC Celebrants and will not use business names of fellow FOIC Celebrants.
